How do I build a robot?

Swipe the head, the body or the legs left or right. Each part moves on its own, so any head can meet any body and any legs. Every robot gets its own name, shown under the picture.

What does the key do?

Tap the wind-up key for a short wind, or turn it clockwise with a finger: the more you wind it, the longer the robot walks. Wind it all the way and it clicks and spins before it walks.

What happens when I tap the body?

The robot switches on: its lamps light up, the head sings its own little tune and the body makes one of eight robot sounds, then it powers down again.

How do I change the background?

Tap the square tin button in the top right corner of the picture to switch between white and a plain color. The button below it makes the body and legs take the colors of the head; tap it again to give every part its own colors. The app remembers both choices.

What are the gold robots?

Now and then a robot turns gold, about one in fifty. It goes into your showcase: tap the badge in the bottom left corner to open the showcase, and tap a robot there to bring it back. The showcase holds 12 gold robots; the badge counts them.

What is the trophy?

When the 12th gold robot is found, the whole collection walks across the stage, a tin trophy springs up and confetti falls. The showcase then empties and the next round starts. Every round adds a trophy to the shelf above the showcase: bronze for the first round, silver for the second, gold for the third and a starred gold trophy with a counter after that. The shelf stays, and the app remembers it on the device.

What is the robot of the day?

On the first visit of each day the app shows today's robot and a short guide. The first touch closes the guide.

How do I turn the sounds off?

Open Parents, answer the grown-up question and switch Sounds off. The app has sound effects only and no music; the sounds follow the device volume.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Everything is included in the app, and the app makes no network connections.

Are there extra purchases?

No. One upfront purchase includes all 150 parts. There are no ads, subscriptions, locked packs or in-app purchases.

Why does a question appear?

The Parents section asks a grown-up to answer a multiplication question.

Why does the phone stay upright?

The robots are tall, so on phones the app stays in portrait to keep them large. On tablets you can rotate freely.

Does the app collect data?

No. Lunamix Retrobots collects no data and shares no data. It has no ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts and no analytics, and it makes no network connections. On Android it requests no permissions. See the privacy policy for details.
